    Basics

    What is childhood anxiety?

Anxiety is first a normal part of development. It becomes a problem when it persists, limits everyday life, and keeps children from taking part.

Typical signs: school avoidance, physical complaints without a cause, social withdrawal, sleep problems, or excessive clinging to caregivers.
